Well, don't know much about cragmites, buuut... From what is known about Irken society it is quite likely that they are either unable of something like 'love'... Or the Control Brains are at least working on getting that out of them. Yay for an entire race made of brainless drones! 8D

So the most 'positive' on this meme Zim would ever be able to hand out would be a "I would rescue you/fight by your side."... He doesn't quite do friends anyway. Only minions. And enemies.

haha, well. What's known about Cragmites, at least, is that they just have this need to KILL KILL RULE DESTROY so they were kind of a Problem(tm) back in Alister's home galaxy. But I would say that they're... mmmarginally more intelligent than Irkens.

Smarter than Zim, at the most. Zim was kind of the loser of his race, wasn't he? XDa

Well, he clearly isn't a prime example of his race. A race that builds its society based on height... But as the shortest Irken ever to become an Invader... He clearly isn't liked much. Adding to that he is equipped with a defective PAK which may explain why he doesn't act like any normal Irken does but in his quite special Zim-way.

But even if he weren't insane enough to send three Control Brains into madness... The size thing would never have him respected anyway. As we see when looking at Invader Skoodge, who is just a little bit taller than Zim, yet a perfectly fine Irken Invader that successfully conquered planet Blorch (home of the man-slaughtering rat-people). Despite his success...

The Tallest blast him off into open space just because they dislike him. So maybe Zim is lucky to just be a walking pit of madness and oblivion or he may very well be sharing Skoodge's misery.


Still. Compared to those cragmites, Irkens seem to at least have a humorous side to them. So they win on that regards. Also: The entire IZ universe is dumb and filled with Parking Structure Planets, so intelligence may be a bad measurement anyway~
