Actually, if it came down to it and Estelle absolutely needed to die ... then she would want someone she trusts to do the job more than anyone else. She had been so prepared to die before, and she's still prepared for it ... the only difference between her now and her then is that now she knows that before she decides it can't be done, she needs to see about exhausting every possible option for a solution.

Despite all of their opposition, Estelle does trust Duke, and so, if it came down to that, she wouldn't hate him or anything for putting an end to her.
