I think Serph would be very interested in the magical walkie-talkie. It sounds like something that would be very useful for the Defense Force, since ha ha trying to relay messages with the SFC while fighting would get tricky. And... well, magic that's utilitarian for things that aren't killing or healing would interest him.

I'm not sure how well other people would be able to use it? Duke would likely have to get over his :/ about people to teach them the Terca Lumireian sort of magic (it seems to be based on MAAAATTHHHH D8 ). But yes, magic that's not for killing/healing is the best.

and he would be interested in figuring out how to work the same spell in different types of magic. once he learns the 'rules' (or .. lack of them... )

Clearly how well it works for other people using it is something that needs to be tested IC :3c Serph is a nice human/demon, so I think maybe that'll help Duke overcome his :/ towards people?
